Introduction to Photogrammetry

In Person

In uCreate you will see the Arago photogrammetry rig which can be used to capture objects between 5 and 180cm. A camera is attached to the rig, which moves around a turntable, taking a series of images. These images are the processed on a software called ‘Reality Capture’, which aligns these images to create a 3D model.

We will also show the Einscan HX blue laser scanner. This handheld scanner is able to capture the form of an object, up to 0.04mm accuracy. The equipment at uCreate is designed to be easy to use so that users can use it independently. We will therefore go over the workflow for these two pieces of equipment.

This is a beginner level event. No previous knowledge on the topic is required/expected and the trainer will cover the basics of the method.

This event will take place in person at the Makerspace Studio.

Those who have registered to take part will receive an email with full details on how to get ready for the course.

If you’re new to this training event format, or to CDCS training events in general, read more on what to expect from CDCS training. Here you will also find details of our cancellation and no-show policy, which applies to this event.
