Ayça Atabey is based in the School of Law.

Ayça conducts interdisciplinary research by looking at data protection laws and value-sensitive design in HCI. Her research explores fairness by design and focuses on protecting vulnerable data subjects in their involvement with AI-driven technologies. She currently works as a researcher at BILGI IT Law Institute, a research assistant at 5Rights Foundation-Digital Futures Commission and a Consultant at UN Women.
