CDCS Summer School 2023

In early June we completed another successful CDCS Text & Data Analysis Summer School. This year saw developments in the structure of the summer school, namely the addition of a second stream to cater to a wider array of skill levels.

Stream one, A Gentle Introduction to Coding for Data Analysis, was designed for researchers who are complete beginners with no prior knowledge of coding and data analysis. Stream two, Text and Data Analysis in the Wild, was designed to help researchers with coding experience understand how data and text analysis projects are performed in a research environment.

We also enjoyed a full schedule of social events from a pub quiz to a traditional ceilidh. With a packed schedule covering all things data analysis and a variety of socials, attendees told us that the week was both invaluable and enjoyable.
