Announcing our New Data-Driven Thriving in the Academic Community Cluster
We’re thrilled to be announcing a new CDCS research cluster. Led by Dr Mark Hoelterhoff, Data-Driven Thriving in the Academic Community will focus on research into how researchers can be empowered to thrive in their professional communities.

Bringing together colleagues from across different parts of the University, including among others the Institute for Academic Development, the Chaplaincy, Museum services, and the Global Health Academy, the cluster aims to foster interdisciplinary research collaboration and networking among academic, support and professional services.
With two project already underway, and a strong network in the process of being established, the cluster aims to develop projects that are committed to openness in research, inclusivity and representative of the entire academic community; explore the interplay of well-being, learning and resilience in the higher education curriculum through data-driven action-orientated research; strategise educational programmes that apply intrapersonal assets to real-world interpersonal and societal issues; create a network of academic, support and professional services leaders committed to fostering evidence-based strategies of resilience in tertiary education; and innovate future-facing, digital technologies aimed at supporting well-being in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
If you’d like to discuss potential opportunities for working with research cluster members, please get in touch.
