Data Visual Engineer Opportunity with EFI and CDCS

The Centre for Data, Culture & Society and Edinburgh Futures Institute are excited to share a new opportunity for an experienced Data Visualisation Engineer to support our ground-breaking, multidisciplinary research environment.  

As Data Visualisation Engineer, based in the cutting-edge VisHub and digital makerspace, you will support and collaborate with researchers from across the digital humanities and beyond, developing and designing prototypes, provotypes and interventions, and advising and supporting digital research. 

The successful candidate will have excellent skills in visualisation, graphic, and interaction design, strong skills in web development (front-and back-end development), demonstrable experience using Python and data analysis, an understanding of academic research practices and processes, and proven broad knowledge of technologies appropriate to current arts, humanities and social science research.
