CDCS Digital Research Prizes Awards Ceremony
On May 18th, we were delighted to be able to bring our CAHSS community together in person for a lovely evening of networking, cupcakes and fizz to celebrate the winners of the 2022 CDCS Digital Research Prizes!
The Digital Research Prizes were created to recognise the amazing data-led projects and activities going on across the College. CDCS Director, Professor Melissa Terras, awarded the following prizes:
Best Small Data-Driven Project
- Winner: The Festivals & Communities Map
- Highly Commended: Feeling Moved Means Feeling Connected? Investigating Prosocial Kama Muta
- Commended: Covid, Furlough and Creative Businesses
Best Impact from a Data-Led Project
- Joint Winners: 'Worker Data Science' Can Teach Us How to Fix the Gig Economy/Digital Worker Inquiry & The Scottish Election Study
Best Data Visualisation
- Winner: Doodling with the eyes while looking at the bedroom ceiling
- Highly Commended: Searching Racism after George Floyd
