CDCS Research Associate: Wenlong Li
Dr Wenlong Li is an interdisciplinary research scholar working at the intersection between law, ethics and technology and has experiences of researching in both academia and the tech industry. His current work at the Privacy & Data Protection Office of Bytedance is dedicated to promoting privacy awareness, design and accountability, with a particular focus on generative AI governance, child/data protection and the legal implications of privacy enhancing technologies. Wenlong completed his PhD on the GDPR’s right to data portability at the University of Edinburgh where he also taught advertising law at the law school, coached the University team for the Price Moot, and worked on an EFI-funded project about gig workers’ GDPR rights.
