David Mesa-Ruiz
David is based in the School of Economics.
David's research focuses on applied econometrics. Concretely, he exploits quasi-experimental methods to analyze the effects of trade and technological shocks on labour markets, crime and demographic outcomes. His research interest also lies in the effects of the end of dictatorships on female labour force participation. He has recently worked as well in analysis of the UK housing market exploiting administrative and listing data.
