Anna Couturier is based in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies, within the School of Social and Political Science.
Anna's current work focuses on algorithmic governance, digital health, and regenerative medicine with a special focus on developing digitally native methodologies. In coordination with the Algorithm Accountability Lab and EuroStemCell, she has developed a tool for anonymously collecting Google Search results around stem cell treatments using Data Donors. Despite our doctors telling us not to, Google is often the first place we will go to when wanting to know more about our symptoms or a medical condition. But when you Google, do you see the same results and adverts as your colleagues, your family or your friends? If not, why not?
