CDCS Research Associate: Adam Crymble
Dr Adam Crymble is an Associate Professor in Digital Humanities at University College London, based in the Department of Information Studies.
Adam is a historian and digital humanist. He researches the history of migration and its intersection with technology. He is particularly interested in understanding how technology can enable new methods of studying migration, and how it can empower under-represented groups to take an interest in and ownership over their history. He is the author of Technology and the Historian (2021), the first comprehensive history of technology’s evolving relationships with historical studies.
Adam is also a founding editor of the Programming Historian suite of journals, which publish digital methods articles in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
